Masterplanner | Urban Designer
Full Time
We have a position for a masterplanner/ urban designer either with Architectural or Landscape Architectural qualification (or both) that has the ability to carry our masterplans for mixed use/ residential developments. The candidate will need to be experienced in report based work including integrated LVIA and detail design work – a true all rounder!!
We have a range of projects from urban regeneration for coastal towns, townscape assessments, masterplanning for new universities and urban extensions. This is a permanent position with excellent career prospects for the right candidate to work on a wide range of exciting developments across a range of sectors. You will work directly with the Directors of the practice to; deliver projects, liaise directly with clients and demonstrate the ability to work within an established team of landscape architects / architects and urban designers helping to develop and grow our successful business.
Key skills/ requirements:

5 + years experience working in private and/or public sector

Qualifications: BA (Hons), PG Dip or MA, professional membership (RIBA, CMLI, UDG)

To assist directors in managing project delivery and team management

A confident self starter who is equally comfortable working alone and as part of a team

Able to demonstrate experience in running projects from concept stage through to completion with client and design team liaison

Ability to cope with dynamic and pressured deadlines

Experienced in working within multidisciplinary design teams

Excellent oral, written and graphic presentation skills

Working knowledge of key software including AutoCAD( Revit would be an advantage), Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, InDesign and Microsoft Office

Confident freehand skills

Experience working on large, medium and small scale projects in the UK

Able to help out on architecture and landscape projects as well as master planning when needed.

To carry out general office tasks - keeping the office tidy/helping with admin duties

Willing to travel and stay away from home – including working from the Truro / Bath office on occasion – possibly 1-2 times/month depending on work .
