Landscape Architect

​

We are seeking a talented designer and project runner to join our growing architectural/ landscape & urban design team in Truro. 

​

The successful candidate will have both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in landscape architecture. Ideally CMLI or working towards chartership of the Landscape Institute. We want someone that can demonstrate their breadth of experience within the UK and that meets as many of the skills set out below.

​

An additional qualification, or experience in either architecture or urban design would be beneficial and something to demonstrate you understand and appreciate when applying to us.

​

Our portfolio covers all scales of projects.  The ability to design and manage large scale master planning projects, LVIA’s and detail landscape & public realm design would be the ideal candidate for us.

​

Ideal Skill Set (we can offer training to the right candidate):

​

  • 2-5 yrs. experience (either as CMLI or working towards LI chartership)

  • UK experience working on a wide range of projects at all scales

  • A passion for good design and successful placemaking

  • Capability of working on a varied portfolio including; masterplans, detail design, LVIAs and report writing

  • Proven ability to manage resources and large-scale projects and work to tight deadlines

  • Excellent 2D/3D design and graphic skills (confident freehand and computer-generated drawing skills)

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation

  • Proven technical ability and understanding of UK legislation and standards

  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team

  • Self-motivated and client focused

  • CAD skills in either AutoCAD or  Revit (ideally both)

  • Proven ability in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign;

  • Ability to model and render in 3D software (eg.Sketch up, Lumion, Rhino, Revit, V-ray)

  • Good report writing skills

  • Software experience using NBS and BIM planting programs

  • UK Driving License
