Due to increased workload on a wide variety of projects Lavigne Lonsdale are looking for the following candidates:

 

ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST FULL TIME

An Architectural Technologist with a minimum 5 years experience to work in our Truro office. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is required, and experience within the residential and healthcare sector would be preferable.

 

LANDSCAPE GRADUATE or YEAR OUT STUDENT FULL TIME

We require a talented Graduate landscape Architect who has strong design skills and a sound working knowledge of Autocad, Photoshop and Sketchup.  Skills in 3D Studio Max would be an advantage for help with montage work but we can provide software training if required.

  • Able to cope with tight deadlines
  • Excellent design skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Self motivated with a passion for client satisfaction
  • Confident freehand skills
  • Strong CAD skills in either AutoCAD (and Revit would be an advantage),
  • Excellent Graphic skills in Adobe Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop, 3D Studio MAX
  • Ability to work as part of a team and assist the Directors
  • Be prepared to share daily office tasks including admin and general office duties

Willing to travel and stay away from home – including working from the Truro / Bath office on pre-planned occasions – (possibly 1-2 times/month depending on work).

 

SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT (Truro )/ ASSOCIATE ( Bath) FULL TIME

We have the need for a talented Senior Landscape Architect in the Truro office or an Associate Landscape Architect in the Bath office. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an excellent level of experience across a range of sectors and skill sets. Projects will include LVIA report work, landscape masterplanning for residential/ mixed use schemes and detail design & construction packages. We need self motivated “all rounders” who relish working on a range of project types from prestigious gardens to masterplans for 5500 homes. As part of the team you will work directly with the Directors of the practice, delivering projects, liaising with clients and helping further develop and grow our successful business.

Key Skills :

  • 5 + years experience working in private and/or public sector
  • Qualifications: BA (Hons), PG Dip or MA, professional membership (CMLI )
  • Experience working on large, medium and small scale commercial projects in the UK
  • To assist directors in managing project delivery and team management
  • Capable of working on a varied portfolio of work including masterplans, detail design and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA).
  • Proven ability to manage projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent design and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Solid technical capability and understanding of UK planning legislation
  • Proven specification writing capability using NBS software
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Self motivated with a passion for client satisfaction
  • Confident freehand skills
  • Excellent CAD skills in either AutoCAD (and/or Revit would be an advantage)
  • Excellent Graphic skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop,
  • Excellent report writing skills using Adobe InDesign
  • Be prepared to share daily office tasks including admin and general office duties
  • Willing to travel and stay away from home – including working from the Truro / Bath office on occasion – possibly 1-2 times/month depending on work .

 

MASTERPLANNER/ URBAN DESIGNER (Architect or Landscape Architect) FULL TIME

We have a position for a MASTERPLANNER/ URBAN DESIGNER either with Architectural or Landscape Architectural qualification (or both) that has the ability to carry our masterplans for mixed use/ residential developments. The candidate will need to be experienced in report based work including integrated LVIA and detail design work – a true all rounder!!

We have a range of projects from urban regeneration for coastal towns, townscape assessments, masterplanning for new universities and urban extensions. This is a permanent position with excellent career prospects for the right candidate to work on a wide range of exciting developments across a range of sectors.  You will work directly with the Directors of the practice to; deliver projects, liaise directly with clients and demonstrate the ability to work within an established team of landscape architects / architects and urban designers helping to develop and grow our successful business.

Essential requirements:

  • 5 + years experience working in private and/or public sector
  • Qualifications: BA (Hons), PG Dip or MA, professional membership (RIBA, CMLI, UDG)
  • To assist directors in managing project delivery and team management
  • A confident self starter who is equally comfortable working alone and as part of a team
  • Able to demonstrate experience in running projects from concept stage through to completion with client and design team liaison
  • Ability to cope with dynamic and pressured deadlines
  • Experienced in working within multidisciplinary design teams
  • Excellent oral, written and graphic presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of key software including AutoCAD( Revit would be an advantage), Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, InDesign and Microsoft Office
  • Confident freehand skills
  • Experience working on large, medium and small scale projects in the UK
  • Able to help out on architecture and landscape projects as well as master planning when needed.
  • To carry out general office tasks- tea/ coffee making (shared responsibility)/ keeping the office tidy/helping with admin duties
  • Willing to travel and stay away from home – including working from the Truro / Bath office on occasion – possibly 1-2 times/month depending on work .
