Nailsea Glassworks is a former glass foundry and a designated Scheduled Ancient Monument.
Lavigne Lonsdale won a competitive bid to provide Landscape Architecture services and design the public realm area surrounding this historic site. It was essential to liaise closely with English Heritage, Nailsea Town Council and wider stakeholder groups.
This project included; bespoke street furniture, the creation of a pocket park and a museum/focal building to provide interpretation for Nailsea Glass and local industrial heritage.
Further to the successful completion of this project, Lavigne Lonsdale was commissioned to look at uses for the adjoining derelict, Listed Buildings to form a new library, community hub, youth centre and a glass blowing studio.
