The Sherford scheme involves the development of a completely new town, located just outside of Plymouth. The project consists of 5500+ homes, 80,000+ m2 of commercial and employment space, 3 Primary schools, 1 Secondary school and retail units.

The scheme also involves the creation of a 500-acre community park. The design for this element of the scheme works with the existing landscape, with ‘active’ and ‘passive’ areas to satisfy the relationship with sensitive ecological habitats and more active recreational uses.

Lavigne Lonsdale has been involved in this significant project since its inception over 15 years ago and has provided a range of services, including; Masterplanning, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design.

We have successfully gained RMA consent for the first phase (500-750 homes).

Construction is progressing on site and the first residents have moved in.
