Miller Homes (Derby) appointed LL to develop an Outline Application for 600 units on the edge of Coalville in Leicestershire. The site was adjacent to a Country park and required sensitive integration into both the urban and countryside grain.

Urban tissue studies were carried out to show the various transects and characters within the town and local villages to show how character areas could be developed within any future RMA (Reserved matters applications).

The scheme included a careful Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment and an integrated Urban and Landscape design for the scheme Layout. Successful planning permission was granted.
